Why does our religious Congregation — named for the Immaculate Conception — put so much emphasis on the Holy Souls in Purgatory? It's elementary. Father Dan Cambra, MIC, explains.

"We're dedicated to praying not only for the souls in Purgatory, but also about preparing people to die well," said Fr. Dan, addressing the nearly 175 attendees of the 8th Annual Mercy for Souls Conference.

Obviously, when we speak of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we necessarily have to keep in mind the importance of not only loving Jesus, but also of loving one another.

"I received an interesting phone call recently from a dear friend of mine, author Susan Tassone, making me an offer I couldn't possibly refuse," writes Fr. Dan Cambra, MIC.

By focusing on our ultimate end, we have the opportunity to prepare ourselves for our ultimate goal.
